Last Saturday I took a sabatical from golf.  Sherrill and I and the family went to New Braunfels area for the weekend.  We ate at our favorite restaurand in the area, The Gristmill on the Guadalupe River.  Unfortunately they have only fans and no A/C and we picked the hottest weekend.  We still had a great time.  We did tubing on the San Marcos river also.

The boys also had a great time on Saturday.  Joel really was ON with an 81.  Ed and Russell had 85's. Ed had 3 bridies but Russell was a bit bummed since he had just had a sparkling 76 a few days earlier.  In reality, Russell is playing quite a bit better than his score dictates since he doesn't roll the ball like the rest of us; you know he plays REAL GOLF which can be quite a bit more challenging than just playing from the blues vs whites.  If I really needed to pick someone to make a shot for all the marbles, I still think it's Russell.  This week we are playing Champions Circle and I am hopeful to be able to join the boys.  I start chemo and radiation and don't know how it will initially affect me, but I am planning to be there at 7:30.
Have a blessed week!

  1. Higgie took Frank's place last Saturday...no disrespect to Higgie. but I miss Frank.

I hope Frank can play on Staurday.

    a slight correction to Frank's blog.....Ed did shoot an 83, but I shot a 85.

    I miss Frank..........

Golf is anamazing game.....when one part of your game improves, another goes to SxxT. My iron play (for me) has been very good...but my putting (usually a stron suit) has been awlful.

Oh well, my teaching pro (Troy) would be proud, my duck hook is gone and my height with my irons has improved.

    I miss Frank............

I really miss Frank handling me some quarters after we walk off the 18th green.
